Fragile Ecosystems from Reef to Glacier
At the edges of land, water, ice, and atmosphere, the natural world reveals both its resilience and its vulnerability.
Edges of the Earth brings together photographs of environments shaped by powerful natural forces—from coral reefs and coastal waters to mountain systems, wildlife habitats, and glacial landscapes. Though separated by geography and scale, these places are connected by water, climate, geology, and the continual processes of transformation.
The work moves between expansive aerial perspectives and intimate observations, searching for patterns that connect seemingly different ecosystems. Beauty becomes a point of entry, but not the final destination. These photographs ask us to consider what lies beneath the visual experience: living systems in constant relationship with one another, and environments whose apparent permanence can conceal profound fragility.
